WTTB Launches Novel Competition on World Book Day

Would-be authors who have dreamed about getting their novel into print can now do just that, thanks to a competition launched by one of the UK’s biggest digital print platforms.

WTTB recently unveiled its Book Super Centre, a dedicated area of its website for printing books in a variety of shapes and sizes and with a whole host of additional options for covers and finishes.

And to mark the 25th anniversary of World Book Day (3rd March) the company is offering a budding writer the opportunity to get their book manuscript turned into a high end, professional product.

The company has gathered a prestigious judging panel, comprising a range of literary experts across a variety of genres.

Writers are being asked to submit three sample chapters of their book plus a synopsis of the whole story, along with a biog about themselves by May 31st.

The entrants will then be shortlisted and the final few will have until the end of July to finish their book, which will then be judged in its entirety.

The winner will receive support and advice on choosing a cover, PR and marketing support and up to 200 copies of their book, with the chance to visit the factory and see their work being printed.

WTTB CEO, Gary Peeling believes this is a fantastic opportunity.

“More and more people are realising that self publishing is a great route to get your book produced and there are some really amazing success stories of people who have done incredibly well,” he said.

“It would be incredible to create something that could be the next best seller so we really hope that people will take this opportunity and enter.”
