Three Key Dates to Put in Your Diary to Increase Print Sales

Holidays do not have to be quiet periods for resellers

Many people assume that holidays are going to be quiet for the printing industry. However, it doesn’t have to be that way. You have a good opportunity to drive business specifically around holiday dates. With the right planning, you could find that you are very busy in the run-up to certain calendar events.

Here are three that you should be highlighting for 2022.

Mother’s Day: 27th March

Mother’s Day is now accepted as a big commercial opportunity. Many of your clients should be planning for this. Here are some of the products that you should be promoting:

- Mother’s Day cards for local retail businesses
- Wrapping paper for gifts
- Retail signage and displays

You should also be encouraging companies to promote personalised gifts and photo gifts such as canvas prints, framed photo and poster prints, mugs and our new mini-photo cut-outs. Consider offering a special deal if all these items can be delivered on one date to one location

And remember that you can promote the same products for Father’s Day on 19th June.

Easter: 15th - 18th April

You can promote many of the same items that you offered for Mother’s Day for the Easter holidays as well. Also, do think about opportunities for retailers and e-commerce to create specific Easter packaging. Easter is a time for sweet treats. So products such as cake boxes and chocolate boxes are sure to be popular.

Remember that we now offer recycled options for some items. These include recycled greetings cards and wrapping paper.

Jubilee Bank Holiday: 3rd June

This is a time for big celebrations and that means plenty of print! There are going to be two big themes for the weekend: gifts and events.

There are big opportunities to create plenty of Jubilee themed gifts. Local retailers will want to sell these. In addition, many companies will want to send jubilee themed gifts to customers and staff. Items that are likely to be popular will include mugs, posters, notebooks (simply use book or brochure formats and offer a choice of a plain inside or Jubilee-themed pages) and notepads.

In addition, many people will be arranging Jubilee events and street parties. This is where you can become creative with some of the WTTB product range. For instance, our wedding stationery range is brilliant for these types of events.
