What is a magic mug?
Also known as a colour changing mug, this special type of cup changes its colour or design when hot liquid is poured into it. It contains a heat-sensitive coating that reacts to temperature changes, resulting in an exciting transformation.
How does the heat reveal on a magic mug work?
It’s done with a heat-sensitive coating and special ink. When the mug is filled with a hot beverage, such as coffee or tea, the heat causes the coating to become transparent, revealing the hidden design underneath. As the mug cools down, the coating returns to its original state.
Can I wash my magic mug in the dishwasher?
No, magic mugs are not dishwasher safe. The high temperatures and harsh detergents used in dishwashers can damage the heat-sensitive coating, leading to a loss of colour-changing properties. It’s best to hand wash them with mild soap and warm water to preserve their vibrant and magical qualities.
